Snook on the Beaches

May 28, 2010

Snook fishing from Jetty With the full moon approaching the snook are active and have huge appetites. Snook are all over the beaches and inlets. Be sure to get out early and fish the last two hours of the high tide and the last hour of the outgoing. Also don’t under estimate the effectiveness of night fishing around docks, jetties and the beaches. The majority of fish on the beach range from 8 to 12lbs, move to the inlets for the 20 plus pounders.

I have been doing a lot of snook fishing and have had a lot of success. Over the weekend, I caught snook after snook, too bad we can’t keep any right now. I can’t wait till they announce the day that we will be able to keep snook, so I can make a scrumptious snook sandwhich.
