Its been great meeting members from the forum at skyway. I was wondering if anyone would like to join/continue the fun by going on a charter fishing trip. I have never been on a charter fishing trip so is there anyone that can recommend a few? Pierfish said Viking was good. So how about it guys and gals? Is anyone up for a charter fishing trip? If we get a few members we can hire one and split the cost.

As long as I get enough notice I would be game, it would be a blast to have an all pier fishing guide members crew... _________________ Jason

I just got back from southeastern. I saw an ad for thier viking trip. 2 day trip for $335. Thats a little too much for me. Do you know of any cheaper ones? A full day trip would be good. "8 hours"

the last full day trip i went on was about $160 per person. i might be down for one but later in the summer. has to be some pretty good conditions though. anything more than a light chop and ill spend the day with my head hanging over the rails, producing some chum.

The Miss virginia out of Newport richie is a great head boat for a day trip.. Not very expensive either. I have fished on it a couple times and done well with the grouper.

I wouldnt mind fishing the Viking if it was a little cheaper. I know gas to get out there cost alot but $335 is too much. Do you have more information on the Miss Virginia? Does anyone have any other suggestion? =)

$55 a day aint bad at all. Even if its hit or miss you can go on 4 trips instead of 1 trip with the hubbard or viking lol. Thanks Loyd. The Miss Virginia sounds good. Anyone else got anything?

I would like to do a miss virginia trip sometime. However I would like to do it on a weekday. Just like the piers. The weekend crowds are some salty guys who have little respect for others they fish next to. If we get there early enough we can stake out the back of the boat. I have dont that a few times on the Miss Virginia.
I have wanted to do a Hubbards or Viking trip for a few years now..If anyone wants to seriously entertain that idea. I would be up for it.. I have heard the opposite of Pucky..Folks have told me to stick with the Viking because it take on a smaller amount of passengers. |
