Can/will someone give me the crash course on how to fish on this pier: tackle, bait, times, what's biting?

I am taking my 73 year old dad and my 16 and 7 year old daughters and I do not want them to be bored or skunked Smile

Any advice will be appreciated!

Hello and welcome! Fish early morning and late evening. Free line or use a cork. Use light to medium action spinner, 30lb leader. Bait would be small pilchards you can net with a cast net or use shrimp.
