Well, I have been doing my fair share of fishing near the Little Manatee River and South Shore area. I must say although dangerous to maneuver through sometimes, the river truly has so many places that need exploring. I have found several very productive spots, even a 20 ft hole that the river floor is covered in oysters that hold fish at all times. Reds and trout have been my primary target the last few weeks. We have been managing about 7 reds a trip. The most productive baits have been shrimp, Gulp and threadfins. Has anyone else been fishing the river lately?
