Arrived at the pier early am and filled up my bait tank with a huge variety of bait, everything from blue runners, to huge pinfish. We then started to the different rock piles, we get a 24" grouper and many shorts. Then I get the big boy of the day, a 29" grouper. We went to the fillet station to clean our catch and seen tarpon and jewfish below us sucking up the scraps so I couldn't resist. I put a scrap down on the 4/0 and bam! I had an estimated 150lb poon hooked up, I got a couple jumps and off he came. We used light leader so it wiould break. We retied and bam a 40lb poon, we got him bridge side and popped the hook. Hooked a couple more tarpon and a jewfish, then we called it a night. Here are a couple pics:

We left them in the water, we didn't want to injure them. |

| It really has been great! She says hi Craig. That fish was 29" and estimated 10 to 11lbs. Nothing very big but nice for the pier. The 32" grouper was a little over 15lbs. I have not even mentioned the mack trucks that can't be pulled from the rocks. |
