Arrived at the pier early am and filled up my bait tank with a huge variety of bait, everything from blue runners, to huge pinfish. We then started to the different rock piles, we get a 24" grouper and many shorts. Then I get the big boy of the day, a 29" grouper. We went to the fillet station to clean our catch and seen tarpon and jewfish below us sucking up the scraps so I couldn't resist. I put a scrap down on the 4/0 and bam! I had an estimated 150lb poon hooked up, I got a couple jumps and off he came. We used light leader so it wiould break. We retied and bam a 40lb poon, we got him bridge side and popped the hook. Hooked a couple more tarpon and a jewfish, then we called it a night. Here are a couple pics:

We left them in the water, we didn't want to injure them. Very Happy

It really has been great! She says hi Craig. That fish was 29" and estimated 10 to 11lbs. Nothing very big but nice for the pier. The 32" grouper was a little over 15lbs. I have not even mentioned the mack trucks that can't be pulled from the rocks.
