drop nets?

how much weight can a drop net hold. I have a gaff but i'm thinking about geting a drop net which I think is more effeciant. I wouldn't want to gaff a tarpon or a jew.

if your meaning a pier net it is very capable of holding heavy loads. But it is illegal to take a jew out of the water so, i wouldn't mess with one.
