It's been a strange year here in Hawaii.... The peacock bass are going crazy chasing shas and schooling. Taking any streamer or popping bug that lands near them.

It's been raining for about 2 weeks now and the water is high and the fish scattered. We've still found some nice 2 to 3 pounders.

If you Florida guys ever get a chance.... try peacock Bass on a fly rod. It will be well worth your travel time to the Miami area.

Aloha,
Stan

We are getting the all the way North to Lake Worth now Stan, believe it or not....ALL the Broward canals have been infiltrated and there are staggering #'s of P's in the Lake Ida / Osbourne Chain.

Can catch 8 # ers in Broward currently with the 6 # P being fairly Common in deeper running water areas like the Hillsborough Canal and C-14 Tributaries...Also helps that these canals also get ovverun with finger mullett in the fall run, so the high quality forage is plentiful for everything from P's to Tarpon and Snook in the same sytems...

We have had some very very mild winters these last few years.....

Nice fish !
