I'd love to join if I were around. I still hope to come to Fl end of March for a week or so.

With all this fishing talk I decided to start my season here earlier (usually I start at Easter). If the weather is not all to bad I'll try for Fall fish and trout in a small stream. All catch and release due to the closed season.

Hi All,

I love Florida's endless fishing, but I have to say living close to the beach in NJ right now and having the striper season opening this weekend is pretty exciting. It has been a long winter and can't wait to get out to stalk some fish.

This time of year is pretty iffy but with a little luck and some new equipment who knows.

Monday it is suppose to get to the mid 50's and the water temp in the low 40's makes for a good combo for early Bass. Not sure what I will be trying yet but bucktails tipped with white curly tails or Fin-S in pink sprayed with Gulps new herring spray sounds like fun.

I am strictly surf all the way up here as I live within 10 min of one of the best beaches in the state Island Beach State Park. 10 miles of beautiful sand and endless fishing. It is great to be able to drive on and get away from most of the summer crowd.

Happy Catching

Paul

Not much going on at the beach right now Josh..With the back to back cold fronts the water has been cold and dirty.. I figure it should be much better in the next couple weeks.

East Coast Pompano fishing from the sand in SE FL has been on fire...also schools of MASSIVE Crevales and Bluefish over 10# are making their annual appearances....They will require stouter gear than most Pompano rigs however....lol Smile Tight Lines !
