Does anyone have any luck at the Sand Key fishing piers in Clearwater. I heard it was a great spot and have been twice with basically nothing to show for it. Lots of snook around there but none want to bite.

It's really cool at night to see all of the snook around...dozens...but it gets depressing when NONE of them bite

Coast line fishing, whats abundant. Silver Trout, Finger or small Mullet, Ladyfish. That's why the Snook are there, match the hatch and the presentaion. Let your live bait drift naturally, don't toss your bait directly on top, they will just spook. Snook are wary predators. Of course a good ole live Pin fish or Grunt can do the trick also. Catch your bait where you fish, chances are you will catch what they are after. It's no guarantee, but it's worked for me.
