Hey Guys,
I'm new to the boards. Looks like a great site especially for locals to the tampa area. Good job moderators! Read alot of good tips already.
I'm from WV originally. Lived down here in St Pete for about 1 year. Recently started fishing alot the last couple months.
I fish mostly at the skyway and gandy bridge. Still relatively a newbie catching mostly ladyfish and rays (I know sounds pathetic). Started catching some mackerel and snapper and looking to improve. Looking forward to learning how to catch grouper from the pier.
Its finally the weekend. Have fun fishing.

Welcome!! Getting out there and fishing regularly is never pathetic. What's pathetic is when you love to fish like myself but haven't wet a line two weeks! Where in WV are you from I have a very good friend that just moved down from there, he was from a small town called spencer. Will be talkng ot you later! _________________ It is said that the gods do not subtract from the allotted amount of time; the hours a man spends fishing. |

I'm from Charles Town, WV originally. Its in the eastern panhandle not to close to Spencer. Spencer is more in the middle. of the state. I did some fishing in WV in streams and rivers for trout and small mouth bass. It was definitely fun, but certainly we are lucky living here in florida especially here in the tampa and St. Petetersburg area. There are so many places to fish even without a boat.
