Glad to see its working again.
How many signatures do you think are enough to make a difference?
Just a thought, have you asked the baitshops to display a manual petition? Many people will not bother to go on-line to do it. |

Just as a suggestion
Why not get someone to stand at the entrance of the pier and ask those that are going onto the pier to sign your petition (not the online one ,as not all folks have the internet )
But do a paper one, carry a pen (or they will say but I dont have a pen) I am going to be coming to Belliar Beach next April from here in the UK
And would be most willing to do that for a day if it would further your cause to retain the wonderful fishing bridge.
Yes I know its a day out of my holiday , but I just want to show that if I am prepared to help then so should those who have the full benifits of the pier :( |

I honestly think we need a couple thousand to make a difference. Those kind of numbers should turn heads. We lost a good 5 days worth of signatures. There is already a guy going around getting paper signatures, I signed it about a week ago. I figure he can do that and I will get signatures on my end. Most people these days have computers or computer access. Plus it's more benefical to have it electronic, I can send the orginal electronic signatures to many people/places. The original paper signatures can only go to one place.

When you start to get aggravation the same as you are now.. then you know you are making your point. they do not like you to stand up against them, they feel you are under mining their authority, and to them its a threat.but do not place yourself in a position where they feel justified in banning you from the pier,
take your cause to all fishermen in FLA that way you may get the numbers you require, tell them Today its us Tomorrow it could be you

| The more signatures the better, but at the pace its going it doesn't look like thats a realistic number. I say send what you got. |

I would think that management would be all for the petition considering if the piers go down then they go bankrupt. Like I said, somethings fishy. I wont send this pettion to anyone with just a couple hundred signatures, the goal here is to have the state to repair both piers. The West span will be open for another 6 years, so if I can get a couple thousand signatures over a 12 month period then thats what I will do. |

| Been about 9 months now and looks like the petition drive is stalled. How about sending it somewhere, since this was the original intent. |

| I am new to this forum. I am interested in signing the petition. I also work at MacDill AFB. I know alot of fishermen there. How can I start a petition there? Who do I take it to? Someone, please help me get started in the right direction. I have fished this place many a times in my life, and would hate to see it go. |
