1.Do you need a boat to fish by the power plant?
2. Is there a park there or somewhere you can fish from shore.
3. What kind of fish can you catch?
4. Anything else I should know?

We have been killing the sharks at the Apollo PP.

Answers
1. No, you can fish from the bank or a boat
2. There is a park in the back, only fisherman can be there at night.
3. Sharks (Many species) Large Jack, Cobia, Ladyfish, Catfish, Pompano and Tarpon.
4. Yea, it's alot of fun when you know what you are doing out there Wink

We kept a few smaller sharks for eating, but man they where good http://pierfishingguide.com/forum/album.php?user_id=2

Just get on Apollo Beach Blvd and take it all the way back until you can either turn right or left, turn right and take it all the way down until you run into the park. Very Happy

I never did get out there. The Spanish Mackerel started biting on the Skyway and that held my interest.
Is the fishing still good at Apollo this time of year?
If so What kind of fish can you catch? Very Happy

Fishing is not best around the PP this time of year, you can usually catch some jacks nad tons of cats. The water gets to warm. Winter is your best bet.

My rod arm is getting rusty, I'm afraid it may freeze up. Laughing
Where is the best place to fish during the warm months if you don't have a boat? Is there a good warm water species to catch?
