I want get into some reds, where can I wade and catch consistent numbers? We have been wading around Simms park and Pic nic island but we are only getting small fish.

I can't promise consistent numbers, but with that being said, I will tell you a couple of spots where I have caught some nice Reds and Trout. First is just off the SSP Rest area. We park at the SE corner and wade from there. Second, the South Beach area at Ft. Desoto, go left at the T toward the maitenance area, pull in there and park, wade carefully there are some killer holes. Third and also a good area for Snook is the Weedon Island pier area. Wade in at the canoe launch and follow it around the mangroves. Be careful of the oyster bars, but on the positive note I have caught Reds and some big ole sheepies around those as well. You can also wade the other direction and follow the mangroves. Hope this helps Josh.

Thanks, I will be sure to check it out. I have waded out on the sp flats and caught some nice trout and a few small snook but never any reds. (On the flats that is) I will have to try a little harder. Very Happy
