Went out in search for some reds today. Stephanie and I started our day in Fort Desoto because Loyd had mentioned there were some nice fish hanging around off of the sea wall. I decided to leave the Kayak at home and load up a couple spinners and the fly rod. We arrived and caught a couple ladyfish, flounder and catfish. We did see a couple reds but the tide was pushing out so we decided to hit another spot on the GPS.

After 30 minutes at the new spot we got nothing, so we packed up and moved further down near the bridge. We did manage to see a snook and a couple small jacks but nothing was feeding. We left back to the Ruskin area and decided to stop at one of my fishing holes. After a few minutes I was hooked up with a 28" red, then a 31" red. Stephanie caught a huge ladyfish and we called it a day. Here are some pics:
