I'm looking for good places to fish around this time of year. Seems pretty cold but something has to be feeding out there. I live in Gainesville so I don't have many options as to where I can go. Anyone know the "spots" around st. augustine/flagler beach area, or even the Ft. Desotopark/St.Pete area? in terms of surf fishing? I guess pompano are supposed to be around but I'm skeptical to still going somewhere and catching them?

In January your best bet is near the power plants. The water is just to cold in the winter...so there is not much to target on the beaches.
