im fishing under a bridge in fort lauderdale and i was wondering if i throw out my cast net what kind of bait will i get? will i get sardine's and mullet?

It depends, what do you see at the surface? Both species of fish swim in schools and you should be able to distinquish what type of fish it is.

Lived on the east coast for a few years and I found a lot more finger mullet than sardines. Had a lot of luck spring & fall using them from the beach in the swash channels for big blues and the occaisional cobia.
