| With Snook out of season, sometimes targeting them fall to the wayside and we try for other species that we can fill our coolers with. This time of year is about as good as it gets for Snook fishing, that is Beach Snook fishing. The beaches along the coast are all good bets for some nice Snook. Bonus, you can catch them on heavy spinning gear, sometimes not 10 to 15 feet from shore. Right now the bait of choice, at least the Snooks choice, seems to be live Pin fish or Threadfins. Early morning, or evening you can see the fish along the shore feeding. Best time seems to be an hour or two before and after tide changes. Go get you some. |
