Fishing brand and why?
I'm personally a huge Shimano and Penn fan. Why? Because shimano comes the closest to perfection then any other and Penn has some of the most durable gear. |

I personally love my Daiway Saltist 50, I have 2, and then I like my Newel because it's light and very tough..
Penn is also a great reel, but there rods have not been good to me.
And Shimano and ambassador or my favorites for bass fishing... _________________ Jason

| Shimano because they are more fisherman friendly, so smooth and hold up in the long run. Slow ossilation (sp check) is a big friend of mine--keeps the line on nice and even. |

Shimano Fin-Nor (real fin-nor not quantum) and penn is in there as well for durability and sentimental reasons, ive found the penn spinning reels arent the same as they used to be any more, but their offshore stuff is great as always
I have 2 20+ year old Fin-Nor single speed lever drag conventional reels and i love them, they are bullet proof as are their spinning reels
I love my shimano spinning reels but have only had the pleasure of owning 1 shimano conventional reel and i like it enough to consider spending the money on a tyrnos |

| I have a spinning and my neighbor has the baitcasting. I love both of them. Mine is relatively new. I got it from Dicks about a year ago. It has landed lots of fish. i have used mine for saltwater and it has no problem. Just wash it off afterwards and it is fine. It has landed 30 plus snook 5 being over 30 inches and 1 over 40. |

i like the spinning. it works great. i also like the color to. it doesn't really matter for performance but the orange does look cool. So far though the reel is working very well. why did they stop making the baitcasting? |
