Are you searching for some great pier fishing action in south Florida? Look no further then
the Juno pier, the Juno pier is a 990' pier with a tee end, the pier has two shade
structures, four fish cleaning tables, a bait shop and of course a food concession. The Juno pier is open 24
hours a day through November to February, March through October the pier opens an hour before sunrise and closes
at sunset (sea turtle nesting season)
This pier offers non stop action,
during the warmer months you can catch the following species: king fish, Spanish mackerel, redfish, pompano,
jack, permit, snook, trout, many different species of shark and more! The water is normally crystal clear and
offers fun for the whole family. Best live baits include, green backs, shrimp, blue runners, mullet and lady
fish. For artificial it is hard to beat a Rapala x-wrap or a pink and white type crappie jig. For most of the
smaller game fish a 2500 series Shimano stradic complimented by a 7’ Shimano rod will do just fine. For some of
the larger game you might want to up your gear to a heavy Shimano torium conventional reel spooled with 40 to
50lb Power Pro.
Remember to bring a gaff,
sunscreen and some cold drinks. Nothing can get to you quicker then that hot Florida sun. For more information
