Reel Tip
 

When fishing with a spinning outfit you should grip the rod and reel  with your right hand,(assuming that you are right handed), by straddling the reel foot-two fingers in front of the foot; two fingers behind. The rod should stay in your right hand throughout fishing. You crank with your left hand. When using conventional tackle, you cast with your right hand and crank with your right hand.
